This black acetate pair of Persol sunglasses are one of the most iconic sunglass frames ever made, and a pair that Persol were the first to deliver to the market. This model, the 'Quatro Fascia', or four faces, was developed to provide as much protection from the sun as possible for the wearer.
Launched in the 1934, this was only the fifth model introduced by the company who's sunglasses and ophthalmic frames were worn by the most iconic names of film and fashion. Persol have recently re-issued this style in a tortoise colour in a limited edition of 250 pieces.
The arms have the unique Persol 'Meflecto' system that gives the arm some flexibility to fit around different head shapes, while remaining comfortable. This pair is in 'new old stock' condition, having never been worn, and includes the original case and hang tag. Made in Italy, circa 1980.
